Colleagues from Augean’s Honiton site are actively supporting Hospiscare through a series of volunteering sessions at one of the charity’s local warehouses.
This initiative offers employees the opportunity to use their annual volunteer day to assist in sorting donated clothing, books, and household goods. These donations are vital in supporting Hospiscare’s fundraising efforts, enabling the charity to provide essential care and support to local patients and their families.
It was great to get involved and support the charity by helping prepare donations for the shop floor. The team were so friendly and welcoming, making it an enjoyable and rewarding experience from start to finish.
The first volunteering session has already taken place, with three additional sessions scheduled for 30 July, 27 August, and 24 September. Each session will see four employees participating, with colleagues from various departments involved to ensure that business operations continue smoothly while maximising community engagement.
This initiative exemplifies Augean’s commitment to supporting the communities where it operates by fostering employee volunteering and creating meaningful opportunities to make a positive local impact.
