We are pleased to announce that Augean has been awarded an EcoVadis Silver Medal following its July 2026 sustainability assessment, reflecting the continued progress the business is making across its environmental, social and governance (ESG) programmes.
In this year’s assessment, Augean achieved an overall score of 76/100, placing the company in the 89th percentile and among the top 15% of organisations assessed globally by EcoVadis. This represents a significant improvement on the company’s previous assessment and provides independent recognition of the strength of Augean’s sustainability management systems and responsible business practices.
The result is particularly notable when compared with industry benchmarks. In 2026, companies within Augean’s sector achieved an average EcoVadis score of 61/100, highlighting Augean’s strong performance and commitment to continual improvement.
A key driver of the improved score has been the work undertaken since the previous assessment to enhance policies, management measures and sustainability reporting. The introduction of additional governance controls and the publication of more comprehensive sustainability disclosures have enabled Augean to demonstrate the maturity and effectiveness of its ESG approach more clearly.
While the Silver Medal is a significant achievement, the assessment also identified opportunities for further development. Specifically, EcoVadis highlighted areas where reporting could be strengthened around ethics-related performance metrics and sustainable procurement metrics. These insights will help inform Augean’s ongoing improvement plans as the business continues to enhance its ESG reporting and performance.
