Community Fund sponsors Kingfisher Project

The Kingfisher Project has improved public amenities with the construction of a café at Barnwell Country Park and has enabled the creation of a Kingfisher nesting bank, viewable from the café deck and with live feed cameras feeding back to the flat screen TV in the café.

It has also provided nest box cameras in the trees around the café, including in a tawny owl nest box.

We provided a grant of just over £21,333 through our “Augean Community Fund”. This grant was supported by the King’s Cliffe Environmental Association. Friends of Barnwell Country Park also contributed towards this project
